Terry Mort,comes to us from Scribner where his most recent book, The Hemingway Patrols, was selected as Amazon.com's Best of the Month for August 2009. All together he has written three novels and a book on fly fishing. He has also edited works by Mark Twain, Jack London and Zane Grey.
Mort did his undergraduate work in English literature at Princeton University and graduate work at the University of Michigan. After grad school he served as an officer in the Navy where he specialized in navigation and gunnery. His tour of active duty included a lengthy deployment to Vietnam.
He has traveled extensively and spent time in more than thirty-five countries. He lives in Sonoita, Arizona and Durango, Colorado with his wife, Sondra Hadley.
Terry Mort has published two well-reviewed historical novels for Fireship Press: The Fox and the Hedgehog: A Novel of Wolf and Montecalm at Quebec and The Voyage of the Parzival. Additionally, Mort has published a Faustian-themed and witty baseball novel, At Last! A Novel of Life, Love, Temptation and the Cubs.
